In the study about social security it means "Any government system that provides monetary
assistance to people with an inadequate or no income.” Social Security is an important part of
the Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (OASDI) program. Government introduced
main of social security schemes to people in the study we see that .In this study we selected
topic “A Study On Awareness of Social Security Measures In Rural Un-organised sector
labor-Special Reference To Barkur village” here we sleeted 60 respondent for study purpose
in Barkur area .
The main purpose of the study is to know the awareness of rural unorganized sector labours
about social security schemes in the rural area and the government provides many social
security schemes to people to improve their standard of living. Though the government
providing many social security measure to better their life it is not yet reaching to the
targeting section. There may be several reason for this tendency. Wrong implementation by
the government or ignorance of people or lack of awareness about the schemes may lead to
failure the targeting goal of the government. Therefore the study is made on effort to know
the awareness of people towards social security schemes, specially in rural unorganized
works.
